A atividade vitivinícola em Albufeira remonta aos inícios do Séc. XX, com a instalação de alguns produtores de pequena dimensão. Albufeira fica situada no centro do Algarve e é uma das principais zonas turísticas do país, contando com cerca de 30 km de costa. Pertence ao distrito de Faro e à região do Algarve, onde o cultivo da vinha remonta à presença árabe na região.
