Região do Douro

Lamego sempre foi um território multicultural e aberto ao mundo. Quem o visita encontra aqui gente hospitaleira e um valioso património material e imaterial. Aqui foi produzido o vinho generoso exportado pela primeira vez com o nome de “Vinho do Porto” e foram também produzidos os primeiros espumantes nacionais. Situado na margem sul do rio Douro, o concelho de Lamego tem 165,42 km² de área, dividida por 18 freguesias, e tem uma população de 26 691 habitantes. Pertence à Região Demarcada do Douro para a produção de Vinho do Porto e à Região Demarcada do Távora-Varosa para a produção de espumantes.
